Course #1

Enhancing Performance, Teamwork & Leadership Capabilities in Critical Situations

This course delivers practical, real-world solutions to individuals, teams, and organizations seeking to expand their capabilities to effectively think and act during unexpected critical, acute stress situations. Human perceptions, responses, and task performance outcomes vary widely—especially in emergency or threat situations.

Physiological changes notwithstanding, frustration, anxiety, fear, longer reaction time, motivation loss, degraded problem solving, and loss of team perspective all have a considerable negative effect on performance. Strong and successful responses in critical situations can, however, be maintained with confidence. Among other Seapower Training intervention methods, this is accomplished by introducing skills that promote the perception of acute stress situations as a challenge instead of a threat.

Practitioners in competitive sports, law enforcement, firefighting, emergency response, security, medicine, and other areas in which effective performance under stress is essential will benefit from this training course.

Customized training components may include:

  • Developing Cohesive Teams Through Selfless Leadership, Trust & Confidence
  • Understanding the Effects of Acute Stressors on Decision Making
  • Training & Adapting Reactions to Scenario-based Stress Exposure
  • Developing Resilient Minds Through Realistic Stress Inoculation Training
  • Recognizing Team Stressors That Effect Communications & Relationships
  • Using Stress to Enhance Security & Performance

Course #2

Protecting Vulnerable Targets

This course is designed to assist security professionals in protecting private and public venues against the significant rise in mass shootings and other acts of extreme violence and terrorism. Vulnerable "soft targets" are more susceptible to increased threats due to the fact they are accessible and greater in number. Unless soft target attacks are prevented or mitigated, loss of life or injury to civilians is likely. Examples of soft targets include, but are not limited to, sports arenas, concert halls, public squares, hotels, shopping centers, school campuses, places of worship, theaters, financial institutions, and business offices.

Seapower Training's methodologies focus on an all-hands approach to protecting potential targets through in-depth vulnerability assessments and pre-planned responses to critical incidents. Effective pre-incident insights provide knowledge on what to expect during attacks. Having planned responses in place during exigent circumstances can save lives.

Identifying vulnerabilities and integrating high-quality comprehensive training interventions are essential to mitigating threats to people and venues. This course also promotes more efficient and effective use of existing security resources and increased accountability.

Customized training components may include:

  • Brief Overview of Terrorist Threats
  • Relevant Case Studies
  • Identifying Threats & Indicators: Who, What, Where, When, Why & How
  • Intelligence Collection, Analysis & Information Sharing
  • Developing a Risk Assessment: Assets, Security Measures, Threats & Vulnerabilities
